Annmarie & Michael engagement

oh i just love these two people. i'm so happy that my first engagement shoot was with them; they are one of the most hilarious couples i know, plus, they were great for the camera ;)
we had a chilly – but fun – session in stillwater (including a short-lived cowboy shoot-out... see pics). i told them that we have to do another shoot for fun once it's warmer... it didn't take much convincing. :)  also, i'm doing their photos in two posts, so stay tuned for part two.

Bianchi-Rossi family

last october i was given a shot at my first family shoot (pun intended) with the bianchi-rossi family – it was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. i'm grateful that they chose me as their photographer!

A grandchild's photographs

a month or so ago i was at my my mom's parents' house, and happened to have my camera with me...  they left to go to church, and my mom and i stayed there– they had a couple of things they needed her to do for them.  i decided to take a few photos, (1) to practice, because you can never practice enough, and (2) to document parts of their life in this house.  after taking these pictures, i hope to even do portraits of them sometime.  i need to do this with my dad's parents as well.  i love my grandparents; i want to have good visual reminders of who they are, when they do pass on.

Annmarie & Michael | engaged

the day before christmas eve, i got a call from my good friend michael.  he told me that he was going to propose to his girlfriend (and another good friend of mine) annmarie!  constrained excitement and congratulations ensued, as i was shopping in target at the time.  to top that great news, he asked me if i would take pictures of the event... and what could i say but, of course, i would love to – and that it was a good thing i was free that night ;)
[side note: the shot of the proposal isn't reenacted, i actually was hiding amongst the bushes, like paparazzi. so fun.]
also, i had the privilege of shooting their professional engagement photos last weekend, i'll be posting those soon!
