Hannah & Dan | wedding

Hannah & Dan's backyard wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Despite some patchy weather, we managed to dodge the rain for perfect timing of the ceremony and wedding party photos – and having the wedding in the backyard of Hannah's parents' house, with all of its beautiful vintage details, was the perfect setting for these two to be married. It was obvious how happy they are together and how much they loved being with each other that day.

Second shot with my dear friend Britt of Britt Lynn Photography... she's moving to California this week, I can hardly believe it. Thanks letting me shoot with you this year lady, it was a blast. Wishing you the best on the west coast – I'm ready for a visit ASAP.

Groves | family

To celebrate the cooler weather upon us this week, I thought it would only be right for me to post a family session from last fall... er... winter. It was the end of November, and these guys were real troopers hanging out in the cold! I've known the Groves family since high school, and they have so much fun as a family it's ridiculous. It was a blast shooting their photos.

Mallory & Jeremy | engagement

To say this summer has been busy would be an understatement – but to say that it hasn't been fun would be a complete lie. With several friends and family getting married this year or next, I've had my share of weddings this season and still more to come! It's such a fun time in life. And no, I'm not being sarcastic.

My cousin Jeremy and his fiance Mallory asked me to take their engagement photos earlier this year, and I was so happy to do it. Getting to spend some time with the two of them was great, and they brought their little buddy along for some photos too. And by little buddy I mean really large Great Dane, named Sarge. A very appropriate name, might I add.
