Ashton & Jordon | engagement

I've known Ashton and Jordon for a few years, and it's been pretty fun to watch them grow together.  One thing that they definitely have in common: a love for coffee and books (just a tidbit: they both work at a Starbucks inside of a Barnes & Noble).
Jordon proposed to Ashton on the steps of the James J. Hill library in St. Paul, so combined with their love for books, it was only natural to do their session there.  We ran into some interesting obstacles (odd library hours, balconies, rain, and cold...) but we found ourselves some pretty classy shots... hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)

  1. Kels: awesome job! I really enjoyed many of your compositions - especially the one of the couple in front of the stacks of books from a distance - across an atrium, or lofted area? (with the pillars on either side); the one of them nearly in shadow in the foreground near a window where you can see a tree and another building outside; and the one of them in the lower left foreground through the railing. Other ones I like where you have considered the beautiful architecture as well. Really nice, unique compositions. I also really like some of the creative ways you "showcased" her engagement ring without being super obvious....like the one where she is pulling a book from the shelf.
